My Napa Valley Experience:

"Picture perfect!"

This is my exact quote from my Saturday television travel segment and Sunday's radio show.

The Maison Fleurie is a beautiful 100 year old building with the charm and comfort of one's own home.

Located right behind main street Yountville, walking is easy, restaurants are abundant and small down friendliness is

everywhere. The breakfast at Maison was fresh, tasty and plentiful. The wine and cheese tastings in the early evening

brought guests together for the making of new friends, the sharing of travel adventures and of course favorite wine discussion.

The fresh cookies at night I certainly took advantage of;-)

Yountville is steeped in history and a great central location for visiting both ends of the valley.

I spent one day driving to different wineries, and the next day relaxing and riding the rails,

the Napa Valley Wine Train rails that is.

This was a relaxing and comfortable way to see the beautiful scenery, experience delicious food and taste

a wide selection of wines. The train is beautiful and the ride is about three hours long, perfect.

Of course there are different packages to choose from, and the depot is located in the city of Napa.

As a California native I can't believe I waited so long to visit Napa, I guess I thought I needed to

be a wine expert to get the full experience..WRONG...there is so much to do in Napa, the amount of wine

experiences you indulge in is completely up to you.

So no excuses, Maison Fleurie, Lavender & the Wine Train are waiting!!
