My Experience:

Suggestion.............listen to the audio on this page!!!

As the emcee of the 46th Annual Borrego Days Desert Festival, I had a blast.  My parade co-host Mayor Okie McNatt was like an old

pro, which made for a relaxed, fun time for all involved.  The parade was every bit as exciting as a parade should be with the several fly overs

by an all women pilot association....AMAZING!

Then it was on to the live broadcast at Christmas Circle.  The Circle was packed with vendors, entertainment, food, play areas for the kids,

a car show, and the main theme being to have a great time.

As I always say, if you have  never been to Borrego Springs, GO!! Everyone that visits, either tells me they are sorry it took them so long to get there,

or tell me they are going back soon because they had so much fun and only 90 minutes or less away.

However, for me, to enjoy Borrego Springs you must first check-in to the Borrego Springs Resort & Spa, an oasis smack in the middle of the 600,000 acre Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable and newly renovated with flats screens, wifi and patios. The history associated with the property brings a charm not found in mega-resorts. The pool areas are inviting and the restaurants are casual, with a hint of elegant.  Dine inside or on the patio, the setting and views are lovely.

Golfers, take the clubs.  The Borrego Springs Resort offers 27 holes of pristine golf, no lines, or slow play, there is a little water though.  I found it to be a great spot for a tournament or the golfers group vacation.

The intimate Spa Serenity is open, and yes, I had a wonderful spa treatment...so much so, that I asked my therapist if she had time for 15 more minutes..she didn't;-(

first time I've ever asked for more....

If hiking and tennis is your thing, well then you are in luck. However, there is a business center in the lobby, but honestly if you are like me, I decided to forgo the email and enjoy the ambiance.

The town is fun, takes you back to small town America. There is an airstrip for you pilots and the resort will send a shuttle to pick you up.

Enjoy and don't forget to find the desert sculptures and photograph the badlands!
