My Experience:

How can anyone go wrong staying in a historical landmark that has been enjoyed by 13 US Presidents and has undergone a $52 million renovation?
You can't!

THE US GRANT originally opened in 1910, and old it is, but it is also incredible and totally in the here and now.  Completely refurbished, the hotel boasts historic ambiance in its state-of-the-art meeting and event space, 270 stylish guest rooms, including 47 elegant suites, fine dining, in-room spa services, valet parking and all the technological advances of a brand new hotel.

I personally enjoyed the historical artifacts displayed throughout the lobby including the location of the time capsule in the marble inlaid floor. 

My room was spacious with a flat-screen television, sitting room and view of the historic Horton Plaza directly across the street. Great for you shoppers out there.

I had a fabulous time is this world-class hotel that is part of the elite Starwood Luxury Collection.  THE US GRANT is located in the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego.  For those of you who are thinking back many years, forget about it.  The Gaslamp Quarter is clean, safe and full of wonderful restaurants, shops and business's.  One night certainly was delightful, but I MUST go back, because I never made it to the exciting harbor only blocks away.
